In an ongoing effort to provide quality wireless service, Verizon has identified your community as one that will benefit from improved network coverage.
Milestone Towers is proposing a wireless telecommunications facility (monopole) at the Spotsylvania Fire Company / Rescue Station property
Address: 9517 Crossroads Parkway, Fredericksburg VA 22408
The proposal is for a 195-foot monopole and will include ground equipment required to operate the facility.
Verizon will be the first wireless carrier to locate on the proposed tower and there will be enough space for additional carriers to co-locate on the tower.
Update #1 (11/24): Notices have gone out for the following upcoming event:
Balloon Fly
Date: Wednesday, December 10th and Thursday, December 11th, from 7:30am to 4:30pm on both days. A contingency weather reschedule date is planned for the following week (December 17th and 18th, from 7:30am to 4:30 pm on both days. (Weather updates posted by 6 PM, Tuesday, December 10th on the homepage.)
Purpose: A balloon will be flown at the proposed tower site to provide a visual reference of its height. Photos will be taken from selected locations and shared on the website. See photo locations below.
Private Property Access: Due to dense tree coverage and limited public points of access, Milestone is offering to take photos from private properties during the balloon fly. If interested, please contact Matt Penning at 703-865-4697 or matt@milestonetowers.com
Please note: no County applications have been filed yet, and an informational community meeting will be scheduled in the New Year.
Our Process
1. Due Diligence
Survey, FAA, FCC, NEPA, Phase 1
2. Land Use
Balloon Fly, Community Meeting, Special Use Permit Application, Staff Review, Planning Commission, Board of Supervisors.
3. Permitting
Submit Site Plan and Building Permit applications, Conduct Pre-Construction Meeting, Coordinate Timeline with Fire Station
4. Construction
Tower construction = 4-6 weeks | Carrier construction = 4-6 weeks on average
On-site supervision by Construction Manager
5. Site Maintenance
Review and maintain site improvements (fence, landscaping, check signage).
